Welcome to Rpg Dreamers Dynamis Linkshell. If
you are looking at this then it means to some extent, you are interested in doing
Dynamis with us. Currently at this moment we are a new Dynamis Linkshell and new
to the Dynamis scene. If you are looking at a more experience Dynamis Linkshell
then it's best you look elsewhere. But if you are looking to join a Dynamis Linkshell
and grow in experience with it then this might be the Linkshell for you.
What is Dynamis?
Dynamis is basically an alternate universe or dimension of an area such as Bastok, Windurst, and San D'Oria just to name some of these areas.
Purpose of Dynamis?
The main purpose of Dynamis is getting rare Artifact 2 Armors and rare Relic
Weapons of each job. However AF 2 Armors are very rare indeed and upgrading Relic
Weapons are indeed expensive. So the main reason is to have fun. Nothing beats
the excitement of having 20+ people together on an event. Of course nothing will
give you such stress as well.
What are the requirements to do Dynamis?
The requirements are as follows:
1. Minimum level is 65.
2. Mininum Rank is 6.
3. Once the two objectives above has been achieve, teleport or zone to
Xarcabard to recieve cut scene of Shadow Lord possible re-return.
4. Once the three ojectives above has been achieve, examine the Trail Markings
in one of the following places: Bastok Mines K-8, South San D'Oria M-5, Windurst
Walls C-12, or Ru' Lude Gardens I-9.
5. Obtaining an hourglass. Cost of Timeless Hourglass is 1 million gil.
This will be put out by the LS leaders.
No Entry fee for doing a Dynamis with Rpg Dreamers
The LS leader lot on all currency drops and
craft drops and bazaar them to help pay for the hourglass. This way all members
can come to dynamis without having to pay for the share of the 1 million hourglass.
In other words Dynamis is free for members. On an average run we would get about
a stack of money currency. However do this the fact that the pricing of currency
have fallen through the years, currency alone can't pay for the entire 1 million
hourglass. In most cases currency only help pay about 600 000 to 700 000 gil depending
if the currency is able to be bazaar successfully as sometimes it might take awhile
to bazaar all the currency. To off set the lack of regular currency to cover the
1 million hourglass and cover the loss in Northland areas and COP Dynamis, all
Big Money currency will also go toward the LS leader to put in the Dynamis bank
to help pay for the loss that the regular currency fail to cover and to zones
where currency don't normally drop. However unfortunately Big Money drop are rarer
than AF2 drops so in this perfect world of Dynamis, relying on Big Money drop
to cover the loss of that regular currency couldn't cover is too unreliable so
we sometimes use Sky money drops will help pay for the loss of money in Dynamis
because 80% of our members that do Dynamis also do Sky with us.
Linkshell Sponser Dynamis Run
If you are a member and want to sponsor a run
and pay for the 1 million hourglass and lot on all currency and craft materials
than this option is also available for you as well. In this scenario, the Linkshell
member that sponser the run will be able to lot on all regular currency and gain
all regular currency that drop including craft materials and the first Big Money
with the exception ofAF2. The rules of AF2 still applies as before to all members
including the sponser member. However this is far from unikely as even sponser
runs alone of just getting all currency and craft material and hoping a Big Money
drop won't make back that 1 million hourglass as once again the economy of currency
have drop in the past 2 years.
Preparing for and Prepping Prior to a Dynamis Event
1. Check for Day, Time, and Place of Dynamis Event
Always check LinkShell Message, or ask a LS leader on what day and time the Dynamis is taking place. Give prior notice if you can't attend the event as well.
2. Planning Ahead of the Dynamis Event
Prior to the day of Dynamis Event, you should create a set of Dynamis macro available for you to use for Dynamis. And also buy the items necessary for you to have inside your inventory so you can be ready when it's time. Don't start buying the items just a few minutes before the event. You can look below on what items you may need for each Dynamis. If you're not sure than ask around or ask a LS leader. But be prepare with everything beforehand.
3. Arriving early for the Dynamis Event
Try to arrive 45 minutes early from the time that
Dynamis is suppose to start. You're asking yourself why 1 hour early? It's simple,
everyone know that organizing and getting 20+ people in the right group and ready
to go isn't going to be done in a few minutes. By arriving early, you are giving
the Leaders time to put you in the right group and hand you your hourglass needed
to enter Dynamis. Getting everybody ready to go on the exact time of the event
is very important. If say the event time is 4PM then we want to start at 4PM or
something close to it. We do not want to be starting at 6:30 PM or 7PM
because of people arriving late or not being ready to go.
If you can't arrive early or can just make it right at
the event time due to work or whatever, then please log out in the area that Dynamis
is suppose to take place in so that when you do log in the next day, you have
everything ready to go and just need an invite. You don't need to take airship
or have to travel anywhere. You are already there and ready to go. This is why
step 1 and 2 are very important. You can just log in, annouce you are here and
we can invite you right away and put in the right group because we know prior
to the event what job you are and where to put you.
So please try to follow the 3 steps closely before the day of Dynamis. This so much will help speed up the time so that we can all start the event at exactly the time that the event is suppose to start. There will be a 30 minutes window delay of the actual time of the event before we decide to go ahead of the event and not wait for you or anyone else. This way most people can stay for the entire event instead of having to worry about work or school the next day because of a late start due to late comers or late arrivals.
4. Dynamis Event, Tuesday and Saturday
Currently Rpg Dreamers Dynamis runs on Tuesday and
Saturday evenings. Gathering time is 4:30 PM PST - 6:30 PM CST - 7:30 PM EST.
We usually go in 30 minutes later from gathering time. For location of the events
or which city that we are doing, check Linkshell Message.
Proper Behavior in Dynamis Event
1. Be Respectful and Be Cool
Dynamis is all about dying a lot and getting wiped alot. Not to say that we get that happen a lot or see that happen a lot, it's just to say always expected the unexpected like a bad pull or some other bad things happening so be prepare to die a few times if that is the case. Prior to entering Dynamis you must be aware of this fact and accept this fact. Don't get all pissed off and stress out because mistakes happens and people getting wiped out and dying. In Dynamis where there are 20+ peeps, mistakes will happen. Accept it and move on. Crying foul and getting pissed off and yelling at people because you dying and losing exp will not resolve anything. If you don't like to die and not prepare to lose exp, and can't accept human mistakes then don't go to Dynamis. Very plain and simple.
Going off on others because you can't handle dying and losing exp will only make yourself look bad. So keep quiet, be cool, chill out, and just go with the flow. It is afterall Dynamis. It's your job to make sure you have lots of exp buffer beforehand. Don't be yelling at other members or having arguement with them as well. This is not the time or place for such things. We are all here to have fun so let's try to have fun, even on the bad runs.
2. Do Not Talk in LS Chat
Leave the LS chat open so LS leaders can communicate with everyone or keep it to a minumum. It also allows everyone to know what's going on and to hear instructions on what to do. If you must talk then keep it to minimum in party chat or say chat. 20+ people, we need everyone focus to know what's going on.
3. Go With What LS Leaders Decide
Once the LS leader have decided on what to do and
what battle plan or course of action to take or even where to camp. Go with the
flow and do as what they have recommended. Do not argue with the decision. In
the middle of battle and heated moment, just do as what the LS leaders have decided.
This is not the time or place to be argueing about what you think is the better
plan or strategy. We don't need 20 or more people all giving in their input and
confusing things up. Whatever action that result from the LS leaders instructions
will fall on their feet, good or bad. It's like in the military, you don't questions
your superior officers, you just follow their orders. If you feel that a better
strategy or course of action should have been taken then do it after when Dynamis
is over and not in the middle of it. There's nothing wrong with giving your input or suggestion a proper way of doing things,
just do it after Dynamis and we'll see about correcting any mistakes that were done.
4. No Auto Follow and AFKs
Please do not auto follow people. This is not the time or place to be doing that. You'll most likely get us all killed. So no auto follow.
The same applies to AFKs. Please clear up all RL events prior to going into Dynamis. This is not the situation to be AFKing. When you AFK, you basically are holding 20+ people up. Do any RR prior to the event. If you need to take a piss or crap, hold it in I tell you. Haha. Only go to RR if you are gonna crap in your pants. Remember that Dynamis has a time limit of 3 hours. And we can't have one person going AFK after the other. It's also isn't good for your health, you don't want to find out everyone is gone while you were AFK. We are not gonna run back to save your butt because we moved while you are AFK. If you really need to go AFK, then please let LS leaders know and give a time on when you be back that way it can be decided where's the best place for you to afk without interfereing with a run or a pull route.
5. Do Not Invite Members To Dynamis On Your Own
Do not invite any members to the Linkshell Dynamis run without the approval and consent of LS leader and sackholder. This is a Linkshell run Dynamis Event. If you have friends that would like to come along than you need to seek approval first for them. Do not simply invite them to the event or even hand them a hourglass so they can join. We do not want any shady or unknown person in Dynamis with us. Any such person or people will be kick out.
Overall Lotting Rules on AF2 and Big Money In Regular Cities Runs
Level 70-75 Lotting Regulations
If you are new to the Linkshell and your main job
or other jobs is level 70-75 than you are able to lot on AF2 of your choice after
a 4 run trial. You can't simply come and lot right away. You need to do 4 runs
first and than on your 5th run you can than let the LS leader what your first
AF2 preference is for each city. He will record what your AF2 preference is for
each city and a back up preference incase there is a free lot where no one need
an AF2 that dropped. Once an AF2 choice has been made for you in each city, it
will be locked down for you to lot on with others until you get that AF2. You
are not allowed to change your AF2 choice during the run or after a run to try
and cut in on someone elses AF2 choice because you feel you have a better chance
of getting that AF2 from a particular city. That's why we record everyone AF2
choice for each city and have it locked down for them. In the case where you don't
have any AF2 choice to lot on or don't want any AF2 from a particular city than
you can choose then come to just help out and record your attendance.
Level 65-69 Lotting Regulations
If you are 65+ in level than you can come to Dynamis
for fun and to help out. However you are not able to lot on AF2 unless it's a
free lot where there are no 70+ jobs that need it.
Please make sure you understand these lotting rules first. Our cities rules are pretty easy and simple stuff and not very strict at all as we like to welcome new members to check us out if they like Dynamis. Plus cities AF2 are much easier drops and easier to get and when you have 22 people average it's not too much of a problem.
Free Lotting Rules
There will be times where an AF2 will drop that no one in the entire LS has in their search comment. Interestingly enough this happens quite a bit. In this scenario the free lotting rules is base on highest level first since the highest levels people can use the AF2 first.
For example: SAM AF2 drops and no one has it lock down than it's free lot for all members who has SAM job that is level 70+. If no one has SAM that is level 70+ than the next step would be free lot for any members that have SAM level 65+, ect.
Overall Lotting Rules on AF2 On Northland Areas
Northlands is a bit different. We aren't able to do
as much Northlands as we like as other Linkshells also have their share of runs
on Northlands too. Plus all the good AF2 are in the Northlands area. Northlands
rules on AF2 aren't as easy and relaxed as City rules as City rules are to attract
new members to come do Dynamis with us. Northlands rules are base on attendance
for the people that commit to attending dynamis the most. In this case for each
AF2 job for Dynamis Xarcabard and Dynamis Beaucedine, the top 3 people with the
highest attendance going for a particular AF2 job will be allow to lot on the
AF2 if it drops. This usually works out fine with 25 people as most people have
different jobs that they can choose to lot on if they aren't in the top 3 attendance
for AF2 of a particular job.
For instances if RDM AF2 drops than the top 3 people with RDM level 70+ that has
the highest attendance can lot. The person that wins the AF2 will lose 6 runs
from their total pushing them down the list and the 4th person with the highest
attendance will move up to the top 3 spot allowing them a chance to lot next time
RDM AF2 drops in the Northlands. One thing to note is that in terms of the top
3 members lotting on AF2 in northland is that the 3 members must be within 10
runs or less with each other. For example if 1st person has 44 runs and the 3rd
person has 34 runs than that's fine in terms of lotting from the top 3 people
base on attendance. However if the 1st person has 44 runs and the 3rd person has
only 11 runs than the 3rd person can't lot because the difference in runs with
the 1st person is greater than 10 runs. It's not fair for the person with 44 run
to lose lot to the person with 11 runs only due to lack of competition for that
AF2 in that northland areas. Yes its base on top 3 runs of each AF2 but the top
3 must be within a 10 runs or less difference with the top person.
If you not in the top 3 than you can try to be in the top 3 of another AF2 job. Unlike the city rules, in this case you can change your AF2 choice if there's an opening spot if someone wins an AF2 in the northland area. Let's say you are 4th in total attendance for RDM AF2. Since you can't lot on RDM AF2 than you can substitute your AF2 Northland lot choice on BLM AF2 because base on your attendance you are in the top 3 attendance for people going for BLM AF2 even though you really want RDM AF2 first. Your attendance is high enough for competing on BLM AF2 but not high enough for RDM AF2. Once someone win RDM AF2 and since you were in 4th place for RDM AF2, you can then choose to go to RDM AF2 lot group now if you like and be in the top 3 lotter on RDM AF2 or you can stay for BLM AF2 and give your spot to say the 5th guy going for RDM AF2.
And if you don't really have any particular other AF2 lot choices to go after,
you can just come and work on your attendance and try and keep it high so you
can move into the top 3 if one of the top 3 lotters start to fall from attendance.
So all members that wish to lot on Northland Dynamis runs must keep in mind to
keep showing up on city runs because you work on city runs to get your total attendance
up to be able to lot on Northland runs. Also keep in mind just because you aren't
in the top 3 for Northland doesn't necessary mean you can't lot on Northland AF2
too because the top 3 is also base on the top 3 people that actually show up for
the run.
To view members Dynamis Attendance and Lot choices please go to the Dynamis
Attendace page here. This way you can view what other members are
lotting on and your competition as where you are in attendance.
