Rpg Dreamers Linkshell does a weekly Limbus
run every Friday night. Sometimes we also will do a run on Monday night. Monday
night runs are base on whether or not the time is convienant for us and whether we have enough gil to pay for the Limbus run. For the most part we do Limbus on
Friday evening.
Information on Limbus
If you looking at this page then you probably looking for information on Limbus. What is Limbus? What do you get from Limbus? And how
can I get to do Limbus? These are the few questions that may pop into your mind.
There are about 3 main reason to do Limbus really. Limbus is an area that drop materials that are required to be used to upgrade AF armours to AF+1 armours. Beastcoins also
drop from Limbus. With Beastcoins, you can buy earrings or mantles from NPC Sagheera found in Port Jueno. And the last reason is that you can fight prime version of both
Omega and Ultima Weapons. By defeating these prime versions of both Omega and Ultima Weapons, you can obtain body parts from these Weapons. These body parts can be traded to NPC Wilhelm in Mhaura to obtain Homam Armor sets or Nashira Attire sets.
Limbus itself is actually like Dynamis but a bit more easier and less stressful. You usually get about 1 hour to complete a Limbus area. This includes getting some time extension in a Limbus area when you doing Limbus. Unlike Dynamis, Limbus can only hold up to 18 people in an alliance. The restriction on how many times you can do Limbus is also
the same as Dynamis where you can only enter Limbus every 72 hours. And just like with Dynamis, if an alliance is already in a Limbus area than you need to wait till they are done before you can go in.
How to Access Limbus
Limbus takes place in an area known as Al'Taieu. Some of you know that area as Sea. This of course means you need to have Sea access.
Sea access can only be optain after completing Promathia Mission 7-5, A Warrior's Path. Hence you need to be on Chapter 8 of Promathia Mission. Hopefully you can find a
group or a good Linkshell that will help you do all those COP missions.
Preparing for Limbus
Let's assume you already have access to Al'Taieu and want to get started on Limbus. What do you need and how do you get started?
1. Detergent. Gather around at Port Jueno at NPC Sagheera. You need to buy Detergent from her. This will cost 50 000 gil. That can be quite a lot depending on the economy of your server. Once you have the Detergent, it will transform into key item: Cosmo-Cleanse. This will last for 72 hours, after that it will disappear, so only buy it if you sure you will be entering Limbus within that time frame.
2. Once you have Cosmo-Cleanse, you need to determine which Limbus area that you will do. Once you decided on an area than teleport to the crag and use the Dimensional Portal to warp to the Al'Taieu area that will have access to your Limbus. Note that you can only travel to the right Limbus area by using the correct Dimensional Portal from one of the three Crags (Holla, Mea, and Dem).
3. Once you are in Al'Taieu you need to track and find a NM called, Aw'euvhi. Killing the NM will net you a key card item for that Limbus area. Each different
Limbus area will require a different key card. Once you have obtain the correct key card, head over to Limbus and prepare for 1 hour of fun, fun, fun, and fun. Or maybe
it's death, death, death, and death. LOL.
Limbus Rules & Regulations
So this must mean you doing Limbus with the Rpg Dreamers Linkshell. So what are our rules and system for drops and everything? Well it's not too complicated.
Handling AF+1 Drops
For AF+1 materials that dropped, only players or members with jobs that are 70+ that correspond to the material can lot it. For example if a material for Paladin drops than
only a member with a Paladin 70+ can lot on that material. We keep it simple and neat. This is due to fact that only a maximum of 18 people can do Limbus. At best each run will consist about an average of 12 people or so.
Handling Beastcoins Drops
For Beastcoins that drop in Limbus, all Beastcoins will be lotted by LS leader
which in turn will be put into Linkshell Beastcoin Bank. Now you probably saying,
"What the hell? I need Beastcoins to buy my earring/mantle from NPC Sagheera.
Or I need Beastcoins to be used for AF+1 upgrade. Why are all Beastcoins going
to Linkshell Bank?" It's very simple really. The LS Bank will maintain all Beastcoins drop. Once you do the require set number of runs than you can collect your Beastcoins from the LS Bank. This is to ensure that everyone get their Beastcoins evenly as oppose to just randomly let it fall and having some members get 1 Beastcoins while some other members get 4-5 Beastcoins.
Getting Beastcoins from Linkshell Bank
Let's assume you agree that all Beastcoins go to Linkshell Bank. Now comes
the part as to when you can get your Beastcoins from Linkshell Bank. First off
in order for you to get Beastcoins from the Linkshell Bank, you first must do
the require number of runs to be eligible to withdraw Beastcoins from the Linkshell
Bank. There also must be enough Beastcoins in Linkshell Bank for you to withdraw.
And lastly it must also be your turn order to withdraw Beastcoins. Just because
you have achieve the require number of runs doesn't mean you can withdraw right
away. Keep in mind that there were others ahead of you waiting to get their chance
to withdraw too. This is where a bit of senority comes into play as well. For
the most part you can track the number of runs, your turn order, and how many
Beastcoins are inside Linkshell Bank by going to the Limbus
Points page.
