Apollyon - Northeast Tower |
- Enter Apollyon Northeast Tower by using Dimensional Portal at Crag
Mea.
- Find and kill Aw'euvhi to obtain Black Card than head for K-6/L-6
of Al'Taieu.
- There are a total of 5 floors to climb.
- The first four floors have a 3 Time Chest, HP/MP Chest, and Item Chest.
- You can open all three chests on each floor when you find them.
- Killing the boss or mini boss of each floor will open the vortex to
the next floor.
- Time Chest and Restory HP/MP Chest are always out.
- Item Chest will drop from one of the mini bosses.
Basic strategy - A group of 8-10 people can clear this area
provided you skip getting Item Chests on some floors. A group of 12 people shouldn't
have too much probably getting the Item Chests on all floors. You also may need
a bit of luck on getting the mini bosses to open the Vortex for you instead of
having to fight the bosses of each floor. Each floor will require a bit of a different
strategy depending on what your objectives are.
Floor 1: You want to avoid fighting the little mandies as much as possible
as it only waste time. Of course these mandies do link so that might not be possible.
Ignore the Time and HP/MP Restore Chest for now. There is 1 Large Barometz and
1 Large Borametz walking around. Find them and try and pull them without linking
the other little Barometz and Borametz. One of the large mandy will drop an Item
Chest while the other large mandy may open up the Vortex. Kill both of the large
mandies and hopefully you get an Item Chest and the Vortex opens up. If the Vortex
doesn't open up then you have to fight the boss: Goobbue Harvester. This boss
suck which is why you can only hope one of the big mandies will open the Vortex.
At any rate if you need to kill the boss to get the Vortex to open than try and
have a Ninja tank it. Goobbue Harvest hits really hard on any Paladin. On top
of that he has an additional paralysis effect which makes it very hard for any
Paladin to tank him. At any rate once the Vortex is open move everyone up on the
next floor. Now hopefully you have a Thief or at least a Paladin with Powder Boots
for flee effect in your alliance. While everyone move up to the next floor, make
sure the Thief or Paladin has reraise on while staying behind. Now usiing flee
with the combination of 2 hour ability from either Thief or Paladin, run around
the entire 1st floor and open all the Timer chests and the HP/MP Restore Chest
then head toward the Vortex and up to the next floor.
Floor 2: Just pull the big Giant Birds and kill them. Avoid fighting the little birds and those little birds won't link with the Giant Birds. One of the Giant Birds will drop an Item Chest while the one of the other Giant Birds will open the Vortex. Like with the first floor ignore all the Timer Chests and HP/MP Restore Chests will all the
Giant Birds are dead. Once the Vortex is open and all the Giant Birds are dead you can do what you did in the first floor and have the group move up to the next floor
and your Thief or Paladin with Powder Boots stays behind to open up all the Timer Chests and HP/MP Chests. Or what you can do if you have a couple of Black Mages with you is go around and sleepga all the little birds and open up the Timer Chests and HP/MP Chests. Do it fast and you should be able to get all the Timer Chests and make it up to the top floor before any of the little birds wake up.
Floor 3: This floor not too bad. Find a good place to camp away from aggro range. Best place would be near the HP/MP Restore Chest so that if anything bad happens than you can get quick access to restoring all your HP/MP and 2 hour quickly. Now try not to aggro any of the pots and just pull the dolls (Sweepers) and bring them to camp and kill em. There's only 3 dolls and one of the will open the Vortex. There's only a couple of Timer Chests on this floor. Same as in the previous floor, have everyone move up to the next floor and using a Thief or Paladin with Powder Boots, flee and open the Timer Chest and get up to the next floor. It's not recommended to try for the Item Chest here but if you insist than go farm some of the pots till the Item Chest drop from them. Only do this if you have a good amount of Black Mages in your alliance.
Floor 4: Ok this floor definitly suck due to the difficulty of the bosses and I hate monkeys. Those Gigas have major bad area of attack damage that can hurt your alliance pretty badly. Find a good place to camp away from aggro range of those darn monkeys. Now you wanna pull one of the Gigas one by one. You don't need to kill all of the Gigas, just kill one of them till one of them open up the Vortex. Make sure mages stand all the way back and out of the Gigas AOE range when you fighting them or it can get nasty pretty fast. A few things to note on each Gigas as each of them are immune to a specific kind of attack. Hyperion is immune to magic damage, Cronos is immune to melee damage, and Okeanos is immune to ranged damage. Keep that in mind and try to pull the Gigas that you have the best chance of killing. If you going for Item Chest too then pull one of the large monkeys. But keep in mind those bloody monkeys will link with one another so if you pull a large monkey you'll get a few small monkeys coming too. Only do this if you think you can handle these links. If not than like before move everyone up to the next floor by heading toward the Vortex without getting any aggro by staying and moving along the outside perimeter on the west side of the area. Get your Theif or Paladin with Powder Boots to 2 hour and open all the Timer Chests and HP/MP Chest and meet the rest of the party on the 5th floor.
Floor 5: This is the easiest floor ever. Just pull and kill each Dhalmel one by one. Once all of the Dhalmel are dead the Item Chest will pop next to the two Bosses. The great thing is that you don't even have to fight the bosses at all. Just have a Thief or anyone that can survive getting hit by the two bosses for a few seconds run up to the Item Chest and open it. Once it's open you will be ported outside of Limbus and the area will be clear netting you what's inside the Item Chest. Heck you can even have people aggro the bosses so the bosses leave their post guarding the Item Chest so one of your guys can just go up to the Item Chest and open it. Simple, easy, and quick.
