Apollyon - Northwest Tower |
- Enter Apollyon Northwest Tower by using Dimensional Portal at Crag
Mea.
- Find and kill Aw'euvhi to obtain Red Card than head for D-6/E-6
of Al'Taieu.
- There are a total of 5 floors to climb.
- The first four floors have a 3 Time Chest, HP/MP Chest, and Item Chest.
- You can open all three chests on each floor when you find them.
- Kill the normal mobs to weaken the strength of the boss.
- Killing the boss will drop the Item Chest.
- Time Chest and Restory HP/MP Chest are always out.
Basic strategy - A group of 10 people is almost a must to be able to clear this area. You also need a Ninja as your main tank too as some of the bosses
in this area hit way too hard for a Paladin to tank. You also need a few Black Mages in your alliance as well. A minimum of three Black Mages is good. If you meet these
minimum requirements than you are ready to go and clear this area. You'll need to skip a few Item Chests if you going with 10 people or less. Still this is definitely one of the
harder zone to clear.
Floor 1: Nothing here but ghosts and undead. To make things worst they can link and aggro to low HP from far away. As soon as you enter this floor make camp at starting point to avoid low aggro from the ghost. You probably don't want to stay here too long so have the puller pull ghosts that block your path toward the teleport where the Vortex will pop up. A random ghost will open the Vortex so keep killing them till the Vortex opens up. If you want to get the Item Chest than kill as many ghosts as possible before you pull the boss, Pluto, to weaken him. Have a Thief or Paladin with Powder Boot stay behind flee and open all the Timer Chests before running to the Vortex himself or herself once everyone else have moved up to the second floor. This way you can aggroing and fighting any left over normal mobs or even the boss. Of course this flee tactics won't be necessary if you actually plan on clearing out all the normal mobs and kill the boss too. You can clear this floor of all mobs and boss if you confident enough as it's not too bad.
Floor 2: Oh joy, Buffalos here as normal mobs and a Ram too as a boss. This is actually an easy floor for this area. You might want to consider clearing out the normal mobs and than actually fighting the boss on this floor. As it's not all bad.
Floor 3: This floor has Bugards as your normal mob and a giant freaking turtle as a boss. Don't bother trying to kill the boss for Item Chest unless you have a few Black Mages in your alliance to nuke that turtle. So just stick to killing the normal mobs to get Vortex open and than using the flee strategy to open the rest of the Time Chests.
Floor 4: Ouch this floor is rock solid bad ass with dragons and a boss dragon that is the size of mountain. The dragons here hit hard and the boss dragon hit even more harder. Your first reaction when you see the boss is, "Look at the size of that thing." The boss dragon is actually pretty cool to look at. One of the best looking NM in the game. But in all honesty you really don't want to aggro him by mistake or even fight him. A Ninja tank is a must here as those dragon hit really hard even for a Paladin with great gear. Kill the normal dragons to get the Vortex open and than use the flee strategy to get the Timer Chests. If you really want the challenge of fighting the boss than I highly recommend you clear all the normal dragon to weaken it first.
Floor 5: A double ouch here. Nothing on this floor but Behemoths. Good news is that you can easily pull the normal Behemoths without linking. Bad news is they hit really really hard. Harder than the dragons. Ninja tank is a must here. Make sure to kill all the normal Behemoths before engaging the boss, Kaiser Behemoth. For the boss strategy, use kiting strategy please. Kaiser Behemoth likes to cast Meteor a lot which can take everyone out very easily so straight up tank is a dumb idea. Just kite the boss in circle and let your Black Mages nuke and run away. It will go down eventually base on this strategy. You probably need 2-3 Timer Chests at least so that way you have time to kite the boss around on this floor.
