If you have Chain of Promathia installed on your Final Fantasy XI game then you will notice that this is the beginning of the Promathia missions. We like to call them COP Missions for short. Unlike Nation missions, COP Missions can be broken up to only cut scenes while some involve cut scenes and NM fights. COP Missions are heavily story base much like with the Zilart Missions. There are no ranks or reward to be option at the end of each mission. However the goal for doing COP Missions is the obtain access to the newer areas in the expansion pack. If the Zilart Mission goal was to obtain full access to the Tu'Lia region which players dubbed Sky then the COP Mission goal is to obtain full access to the Lumoria region which players dubbed Sea.
To begin and end The Rites of Life - COP 1-1, you need to do a few cut scenes which involve traveling around. The following cut scenes are:
1. Lower Delkfutt's Tower located in Quifim Island. Just zone inside and you should activate the cutscene. Most people do this by accident when they first got the expansion pack.
2. Upper Jeuno. Just zone to this area to activate the second cutscene.
3. Still in Upper Jueno, talk to Monberaux in the Infirmary Monberaux. for the third cut scene.
Once all three are done, this will end COP 1-1 and you'll get Mysterious Amulet as a key item.
